”The octopus is an incredible intelligent and creative creature. The species shown in the second piece is the blue-ringed octopus. It’s about the size of a golf ball and one of the deadliest creatures in the sea. It lives in Australia, obviously, where all tiny deadly things live. If you look at the painting closely, you’ll see the rings in the octopus are present but not “displayed”. It’s kind of saying I have a super-power under my suit. The painting is about hope and adaptability. “
