Mr. Wiggams III
This painting marks a return to bold colors and textures with a little sassy-smack-in-your-face. The Siamese Betta Fighting was chosen as the subject because of the insane burst of colors found in tiny little fish. I wanted to push colors as far as they’ll go. I finally had the excuse to do it on this piece. I learned a little about the Betta aka Siamese Fighting Fish when I researched it. They are bred to be this colorful. In the wild, they are brown and green and more drab. Then they live in cups at the local pet store. Don’t do that. If you buy one, please put it in an aquarium. I had them once in a 10 gallon aquarium and they lived peacefully with other fish. Do your research. Be kind.
The original painting is available and prints will soon be available for this piece.
